SRC-120 is semi-refined, fine mesh powder of pure kappa carrageenan (Processed 100% from Eucheuma conttoin), obtained by aqueous alkaline treatment of the natural strains of seaweeds Eucheuma cottonii, of the class Rhodophyceae (red seaweeds) to remove impurities and by fresh water washing, followed by open-air sun dry and milled to requested powder form. It meets E407a specification in Europe.
